East China's Zhejiang province hosted the American Photographers Explore Liangzhu and Global Chinese New Year Photography Competition Exhibition from March 25 to 31, bringing together 30 photographers from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Through their lenses, they documented Zhejiang's landscapes, history, and culture, engaging in deep exchanges about their experiences.

The event, guided by Zhejiang's Culture and Tourism Department and Foreign Affairs Office, featured a photography exhibition at the Liangzhu 5000+ Art Park on March 31. The exhibition showcased 60 award-winning works from the Global Chinese New Year Photography Competition and 55 new works from the American photographers' exploration of Liangzhu.

During their journey across Zhejiang from March 26 to 30, the photographers visited Hangzhou, Huzhou, and Shaoxing, capturing three UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, West Lake, and the Grand Canal. They also experienced a traditional tea ceremony at Jingshan Mountain, explored tech giant Alibaba's digital economy, and photographed Zhejiang's scenic countryside, industrial heritage, and modern urban life.

Photographer Delaney Masal described picking tea and learning tea rituals at Jingshan as a timeless cultural experience she had long dreamed of. Others expressed gratitude for the hospitality they experienced and the opportunity to witness Zhejiang's thriving economy, stunning landscapes, and rich traditions.

The event was part of the Liangzhu Forum's annual exchange program, aiming to promote cultural exchange through photography. Organizers highlighted its role in enhancing international dialogue and showcasing the enduring charm of Liangzhu culture on the global stage.

The exhibition will run until April 10.
