Hiking event along Grand Canal concludes in Hangzhou
A hiking event along the Grand Canal concluded on Friday in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.
Launched in 2024 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Grand Canal's UNESCO World Heritage listing, the campaign spans 27 Chinese cities, featuring 63 offline events and 100 online courses. So far, it has engaged 200 million participants, encouraging them to explore the historic waterway while embracing a healthy lifestyle.
During the Hangzhou event, nearly 300 participants took a walk along the Grand Canal hiking trail. Foreign guests including Amway Global CEO Michael Nelson also participated in the walk, calling for a shared journey toward healthier, more active lives.
Interactive zones were also set up at the event, offering hands-on experiences with the latest health innovations through games, workshops, and product demonstrations.
