Introduction:

Located in eastern Yamanashi Prefecture, Yamanashi City is renowned for its Koshu wine, a signature Japanese varietal. The city is home to some rich cultural sites, including the nationally designated treasure Seihaku-ji Temple and the historic Iwashita Onsen.

Known as Japan's fruit kingdom, Yamanashi City leads the country in the production of grapes, peaches and plums. Every spring, the city transforms into a breathtaking sea of peach blossoms, attracting visitors from across Japan.

It established sister-city relations with Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou on Oct 14, 1993.
