As the welcome spring sunshine pours down upon the island plantations of Qiandao Lake, tea farmers in Tashan village in Lishang township – located in Chun'an county, Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province – have begun harvesting the first batch of this year's crop.
On March 1, the eco-friendly tea gardens entered their full-scale picking season, marking a vibrant start to the harvest.
Qiandao Lake is a key tea-producing region in China, with a total tea cultivation area of 190,000 mu, or about 12,667 hectares.
