With the success of Ne Zha 2, Hangzhou's renowned pastry brand Zhiweiguan has introduced a new dessert collection inspired by the film.

The gift box features a lotus cake, a loong-shaped pastry, two spirit pearls and two demon orbs, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern creativity.

The spirit pearl and the demon orb, according to the film, are two opposing components that both contain enormous energy. The red demon orb is filled with black fungus and purple rice, while the spirit pearl contains sweet rice wine and Osmanthus flowers.

The highlight of the collection is the intricately carved lotus cake, which was inspired by the Seven-colored Sacred Lotus that helps regenerate Ne Zha and Ao Bing in the film. The cake is crafted from white kidney bean paste and glutinous rice flour, with colors derived from natural fruit and vegetable juices. Each lotus cake requires 200 to 300 delicate cuts, taking up to 20 minutes to perfect.

Launching on March 3, the limited-edition set will be available at Zhiweiguan's flagship store and Yanhuo Night Market for 68 yuan ($9.3), with only 20 boxes released daily. This innovative fusion of tradition and pop culture reflects a growing trend in Chinese pastries – where culinary artistry meets cultural heritage.
