The Yuhang International Sports Center, which will be the first 60,000-seat professional football stadium in East China's Zhejiang province, is currently taking shape.
It's being erected in Future Sci-Tech City – located in Zhejiang's capital of Hangzhou – local media outlets reported.
Construction at the center was seen to be in full swing on Feb 17, with cranes towering over the site as workers pushed forwards with excavation and underground structural work. It's estimated that the project has now reached 15 percent of completion.
A key public infrastructure project in Zhejiang, the center will represent the province's first dedicated football stadium of this scale.
Designed as a one-stop international sports hub, it will integrate world-class events, public fitness and commercial leisure facilities.
