Celebrate the Lantern Festival with AI in Hangzhou
The Lantern Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month, also known as the Shangyuan Festival or Little New Year, is the first full moon night after the Chinese New Year.
On this day, streets are filled with colorful lanterns of all kinds, and people walk through a sea of lights, enjoying the warmth and romance of the occasion. They also participate in guessing lantern riddles, adding to the festive atmosphere.
In celebration of the festival, Polish content creator Piotr unlocks a unique Lantern Festival experience on the streets of Hangzhou with the help of AI. Through AI image recognition and interpretation features, he explores the stories behind the lanterns, delves into the regional cultures reflected in the different flavors of yuanxiao (sweet rice dumplings), and uncovers the fun stories hidden within the lantern riddles. Piotr says that through his AI-guided Lantern Festival experience, he learned more about traditional Chinese culture and deepened his connections with his Chinese friends.
