China Railway has introduced an express delivery service for lost items, with Hangzhou Station and Hangzhou East Station among the first two of the six pilot locations in the cities of Beijing, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou.
Since Jan 25, passengers who lose their belongings at train stations or on board have been able to report them via the 12306 App, WeChat mini program, website, or hotline. If a match is found, they can claim the item in person, arrange a transfer, or opt for express delivery. ID card losses will trigger an automatic SMS notification.
China Railway Express offers two options: high-speed express for same-day or next-day delivery and standard express, which takes three to five days. The service expands to 40 other key stations via hotline reservations.
This initiative enhances passenger convenience, ensuring faster and more efficient recovery of lost items.
