Hong Kong Polytechnic University inaugurated its Hangzhou entrepreneurship center in Gongshu district on Jan 17.

The center builds on the foundation of the PolyU Hangzhou Technology and Innovation Research Institute, established in Nov 2023.

In just over a year, the institute has made strides in smart transportation, tourism, and medical aesthetics, filing four invention patents in 2024.

Designed as a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, the new center will provide tailored support to startup teams while accelerating the commercialization of PolyU's advanced research.

Gongshu district has committed to creating a premier business environment with streamlined government services, combining local assets and PolyU's alumni network to attract top-tier projects and talent.
