Hangzhou's exclusive snake-themed cultural products have become a real hit in the stores this Chinese New Year.
The star products are really cute snake-themed figurines, which have been sold out across Zhu Bingren Copper shops citywide. Inspired by the White Snake legend, the playful bronze creations, adorned with copper coins and gold ingots, symbolize prosperity, pay homage to Hangzhou's iconic love story and have become must-haves for the Chinese New Year.
The popularity extends beyond figurines, though. Snake-themed jewelry, such as necklaces and bracelets, is also in high demand.
According to a Zhu Bingren Copper insider, the designs blend cultural storytelling with auspicious symbolism, resonating deeply with locals and tourists.
Meanwhile, plush toys featuring the Chinese New Year mascot "Sishengsheng" – designed with inspiration drawn from ancient oracle bone script – have captivated travelers at Hangzhou East Railway Station.
On e-commerce platforms, searches for snake-themed items have surged, with some products like plush toys and themed gift boxes achieving record sales.
