The 2025 Zhejiang Spring Festival Consumption Season was launched in Hangzhou on Jan 9, featuring over 200 events across the province.
The initiative, supported by the Zhejiang provincial government and central media, aims to boost the New Year shopping spirit with a focus on promoting local and cultural products.
The season includes activities like street markets, neighborhood fairs, and special New Year sales, creating a festive atmosphere. With 2.8 billion yuan ($382 million) in financial incentives and consumer vouchers, the event offers discounts on dining, shopping, and travel, aiming to ignite the local economy.
Since its launch, the main venue in Wulin Square has attracted thousands of visitors, generating nearly 50 million yuan in sales. Zhejiang's regional events, including food festivals, cultural performances, and shopping fairs, are further boosting consumption, with both online and offline platforms joining forces to deliver a seamless experience to consumers.
