The Tonglu Special Cooperation Park – located in Tonglu county in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province – was launched on Jan 6 as part of the Hangzhou Chengxi Sci-tech Innovation Corridor.
Leveraging the corridor's resources in talent, platforms and industry, the park aims to strengthen Tonglu's industrial supply chain and drive innovation-led growth.
Situated in Tonglu's Jiangnan area, the park integrates future industries with film, television and cultural tourism.
It focuses on high-end medical equipment, robotics and autonomous driving, with an initial development area of 2,500 mu (167 hectares).
Key facilities include a central innovation hub near Tonglu East Railway Station, just 18 minutes from Hangzhou West Station.
To accelerate progress, the park emphasizes fast-tracked "ready-to-build" projects and enhanced collaboration across industries.
Future plans include establishing innovation bases, platforms linking universities and enterprises, as well as initiatives to drive industrial chain integration.
With targeted policies and a dedicated task force, the park is set to become a growth engine for Hangzhou's high-quality development and a model for regional innovation.
