The 2024 Reviving Cultural Relics event and the second "My Museum Story" Achievements Exhibition was held at the Deshou Palace Museum in Hangzhou on Dec 3.
At 18:30, the courtyard of the museum, which was once the residence of Qin Hui, a notorious prime minister during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), was illuminated by a spectacular light show featuring a blend of purple, blue and red lights.
The main gate of the palace and surrounding corridors reflected dynamic images of mountains, rivers, palace walls, boats, paper fans and more, accompanied by captivating music that resonated through the air, creating a truly awe-inspiring scene.
Utilizing projection technology, the exhibition showcased 15 museum treasures from 15 cultural and historical institutions in Hangzhou.
The exhibition also introduced the immersive performance Deshou Palace Banquet, which revolved around the theme of "Song Dynasty Banquet: Feasting between Monarchs and Ministers".
The exhibition runs from Dec 3 to 8 at 18:30-21:00 at the museum's Cifu Palace Square and Red Wall. It is free of charge and no reservation is required.
