The 2024 National Science Popularization Day was celebrated with the theme "Enhancing Scientific Literacy for All, Developing New Quality Productive Forces" at the Nanhu Future Science Park in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Sept 14.

At the opening ceremony, the Science Entrepreneur Innovation Park, a collaborative effort between the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology and the government of Yuhang district, Hangzhou, welcomed its first "technology entrepreneur", Ye Zhizhen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Zhejiang leads the nation in implementing a specialized science popularization initiative to promote new quality productive forces, establishing a batch of science popularization museums and experience centers. At the event, the list of 113 selected new quality productive force experience centers was announced.

Moreover, the "Hangzhou New Quality Productive Forces Industry Science Popularization Action" was launched, and the first 27 science popularization museums were unveiled. The first science popularization station on new quality productive forces at the Hupan Laboratory in Yuhang opened to the public as well on Sept 14.

As the 2024 National Science Popularization Day activities unfold from Sept 15 to 25, Zhejiang gears up to host over 3,000 science popularization activities across various regions.
