Hangzhou officially announced Dream Paradise as the city's new anthem on Sept 2, following its approval at a recent government session. The song, cherished by Hangzhou residents for nearly 30 years, captures the city's spirit and culture.
Dream Paradise, with its memorable melody and evocative lyrics, has become a symbol of Hangzhou and accompanied significant events like the 2002 West Lake Expo, the 2016 G20 Summit, and the 2023 Asian Games.
The new anthem's music video was also released, featuring performances by local artists. Plans for English, children's, and instrumental versions of the song are underway to promote it at various public and international venues.
