At 9 am on May 9, 74 polo horses "flew" across the ocean from Argentina to the Hangzhou Equestrian Center in Tonglu. It was the county's first batch of horses since hosting the 19th Asian Games last year and initiated its exploration of international horse trading.

After a 30-day quarantine at the equestrian center, the polo horses will be transported to Chongqing in Southwest China, where they will join the women's polo club in Wulong district to engage in polo tournaments, training, and more.

"During quarantine, we will implement a series of measures, including clinical examinations and disease testing, to ensure that the horses are free of diseases such as equine infectious anemia and equine influenza," said Yuan Bo, head of the supervision department of the Fuyang Office of the Qianjiang Customs.

From selecting horses overseas to finalizing the transaction, from charter transportation to optimizing routes, from customs clearance to landing quarantine, Tonglu and related units have jointly tailored a comprehensive and integrated service guarantee for the horse transaction.

"After completing the quarantine for this batch of horses, we will welcome a second batch of imported horses, including over 50 show jumping horses from Europe," said Zou Jianhua, director of the equestrian center and head of Yaolin town. "Tonglu has successfully tapped into the high-end industry of international horse trading, continuously exploring development paths for the industry."

Tonglu has built an Olympic-level equestrian center, established a disease-free zone capable of directly serving international and domestic equestrian events, and owns two modern horse quarantine facilities, gradually forming a complete equestrian industrial chain.
