Gongshu district's first Esports Operations Skills Competition concluded on April 22, with a total of 94 people from esports clubs, sports venue management companies, and gaming development firms participating.

The two-day competition saw 31 frontline esports entertainment operators earning the title of District-level Technical Talent as Hangzhou's first batch of esports operations experts.

The competition featured professional ethics theory exams and practical case-based skills evaluations to gauge the professional conduct, business skills, and service standards of emerging professionals in the esports industry.

"Participating in the competition has strengthened the professional pride of our employees and provided a fresh perspective for enterprises looking to recruit talent," said Xue Shiliang, head of esports education at LGD Gaming Club.

Esports is considered an advanced form of future sports and a key area of focus for Hangzhou in its endeavor to become a city of sports and events.

The organizer of the competition, the Esports Center Business Community in Shiqiao sub-district, said that the event was a proactive attempt to enhance services for the esports industry in Gongshu.
