The 2024 Hangzhou Xianghu Half Marathon held a press conference on March 21, unveiling the race route, finisher medals, and race attire.

Scheduled for March 31, the Xianghu Marathon will feature a half marathon and fun run (roughly 4.5 kilometers), with a total of 10,000 participants - 7,000 for the half marathon and 3,000 for the fun run.

This year's event attracted 19,665 applicants from 19 countries and regions, nearly a 50-percent increase from last year, with an average participant age of 33.

The race will start from Xiangpu Road and end at the Xiasun Cultural Village for the half marathon, while the fun run will conclude at the Senbo Resort. Runners will run along Xianghu Lake, passing landmarks such as the Kuahuqiao Ruins Museum, World Tourism Expo Center, and China Academy of Art Xianghu Campus, allowing them to enjoy the pleasant spring scenery along the way.

The race attire and finisher medals were also revealed. The race attire features a gradient of Xianghu lake’s green color, while the medal design uses liquid sand to simulate the lake water, adding more fun to the event.

The Xianghu Marathon, now in its third edition, aims to become better in every way, including competition organization, runner services, and supporting activities.

The 2024 edition is the first marathon event held by Xiaoshan district since the Asian Games, further promoting public fitness, stimulating Xiaoshan's vitality, and helping build the Xianghu Marathon brand.
