The Chao Phraya River in Bangkok is serving as the stage for the 2024 Chinese Traditional Dragon Boat Competition, hosted by Hangzhou-based Ramunion Rescue.

Founder He Jun and nearly 100 global representatives from Ramunion Rescue were present for the occasion, highlighting the international significance of the event.

During the thrilling races, the dragon boats gracefully navigated the waters, a symbol of China's ancient agricultural civilization.

A refined chant blessing was held afterwards.

Since its inception in 2009, the competition has been staged at various locations globally, including Hangzhou's West Lake, Qiandao Lake, Xianghu Lake, Xi'an's Yanta Lake, and Xinjiang's Peacock River, as well as international venues such as the Seine River in Paris, the Danube River in Vienna, the Arno River in Florence, the Trinity River in Dallas, and the Port of Barcelona.

The global expansion underscores the event's universal appeal and Ramunion Rescue's commitment to sharing the cultural heritage of Chinese traditional dragon boat races with the world.

Created in 2003, Ramunion Rescue has attracted nearly 30,000 volunteers for 9,317 rescues for saved 8,188 lives. It has also donated 128.9 million yuan ($18 million) worth of goods and capital to people in need.
