Zhejiang FC beats Buriram United in AFC Champions League
China's Zhejiang FC defeated Thailand's Buriram United 3-2 in Group H at home on Wednesday, keeping its hopes alive for the knockout stage in the AFC Champions League.
Haris Vuckic put the visitors ahead early on, but Zhejiang center forward Leonardo leveled the game after a wonderful assist from Li Tixiang.
Franko Andrijasevic headed home a cross from Leonardo in the 77th minute to put Zhejiang ahead, before Lucas' excellent strike in the box gave the home team a two-goal advantage in the 83rd minute.
Buriram refused to give up as Doumbouya halved the deficit for the visitors with three minutes remaining. The home side, however, held on for three points, pulling itself back from the brink of elimination.
Also on Wednesday, Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds crushed Wuhan Three Towns of China 2-1 thanks to Jose Kante's 90th-minute winner.
