Majid Rashed, president of the Asian Paralympic Committee, arrived in Hangzhou on the evening of Oct 14, local media outlets reported.
"I am very happy to be back in Hangzhou. The people here are friendly and warm-hearted. I felt this way when I first visited," Rashed said. He expressed his admiration for the professionalism and sense of responsibility exhibited by everyone in Hangzhou, from volunteers and the media to citizens, in their efforts to make the Hangzhou Asian Games and Para Games a resounding success.
Regarding the upcoming Hangzhou Para Games, the president has high hopes. "I believe that the delegations from various Asian countries and regions will experience the joy and warmth this beautiful city has to offer."
Back in July, shortly after the Hangzhou Para Games Chefs de Mission Seminar, Rashed had already given a positive assessment of preparations for the Para Games.
But this time, he encountered new surprises. "I am delighted to witness the development of a barrier-free environment in Hangzhou. These changes are not only reflected in hardware facilities but also in the shift in people's mindsets," Rashed said.
He also extended an invitation to everyone to come to Hangzhou and watch the Para Games during the event.
