The Asian Games Village in Hangzhou opened its doors for pre-arrival delegations on Sept 9, marking a major step forward in preparations for the upcoming 19th Asian Games.
The Village includes accommodation, dining facilities, and medical services, which have all transitioned into "operational mode".
With delegations from participating countries and regions arriving in groups, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee will hold delegation registration meetings from Sept 9 to 22 with 45 National Olympic Committees' advance teams.
The meetings aim to confirm important participation data such as competition registrations, registration permissions, and final delegation sizes. Additionally, they will discuss and finalize the allocation of resources related to accommodation, dedicated delegation vehicles, and NOC assistants.
The first stop for delegations upon arriving at the Village is the Welcome Center. The 2,800-square-meter facility offers round-the-clock services and includes the Delegation Welcome Center, Media Center, and Visitor Center.
The Media Center, during the Games, will provide registered media with workspaces and service assistance. It features amenities such as media service desks, workspaces, press interview rooms, and waiting areas.
The Village will officially open its doors on Sept 16.
