The Hangzhou Asian Games' Main Media Center, located at the Hangzhou International Expo Center, welcomed over 1,000 reporters on Aug 29 who were ready to participate in the rehearsals.

The rehearsal simulated scenarios including the arrival of media and their daily work at the center, aiming to coordinate key sectors such as general affairs, media operations, news coverage and coordination, transportation, venue security, registration and credentialing, and volunteering.

For a reporter surnamed Yuan, it was his first visit to the Main Media Center. "The overall design is impressive, and the services provided by the staff and volunteers are thoughtful. I believe that when reporters come here during the Games, they will feel at home."

As an essential non-competition venue for the Games, the Main Media Center will provide services such as personnel arrivals and departures, transportation, language services, catering, and equipment rental for nearly 10,000 domestic and foreign reporters during the event. The trial run will take place from Sept 9 to Sept 17, and the formal operational period will begin on Sept 18.

The center will serve as the de-facto headquarters for reporters, information dissemination, and the Olympic Council of Asia's media operations. It will also be a vital window for showcasing Hangzhou's and China's image to domestic and foreign media.
