The 2023 (Asia) Olympic Expo is set to open in Hangzhou in late September, after it was approved by the International Olympic Committee on Aug 21.

The Olympic Expo will be entitled "A Century of Asian Games and the Olympics" and feature five exhibition areas - Light of Asia, Olympic China, Asian Art, Future Orient, and China in the New Era.

The expo aims to showcase the heritage of the Asian Games and Olympics, including thousands of exhibits such as torches, medals, stamps, mascots, sculptures, paintings, commemorative coins, historical footage, and documents.

The expo will also present contemporary art and sculptures, along with digital imagery and cutting-edge sports technology, as well as host cultural forums and youth art activities.

The event is in accordance with the International Olympic Committee's "Olympic Agenda 2020+5" plan and is co-hosted by the International Olympic Committee and the Beijing Olympic Culture Promotion Association. Since its inception in 2008, the expo has been dedicated to promoting the Olympic movement in China.
