The Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and China Mobile launched the Asian Games Metaverse, an intelligent service platform, on Aug 10, local media reported.

By integrating artificial intelligence, digital twinning, and VR, the platform has constructed three creative spaces – the Asian Games venues, city tourism, and personal Asian Games collections.

It offers six innovative experiences - Asian Games knowledge promotion and Q&A, virtual competitions, metaverse viewing, intelligent interactions, and AIGC personal collections. Users can enjoy various immersive activities, such as watching games, participating in sports, and exploring the city through virtual avatars.

Global netizens can access the Asian Games Metaverse space by searching for "Intelligent Asian Games One-Stop Service" on the Alipay app.

Participants at the launch event also had the opportunity to experience offline metaverse projects such as digital cycling and metaverse VR, allowing them to participate in the joy of the Asian Games.

With the launch of the platform, the Hangzhou Asian Games has ushered in a new era of intelligent sports services and opened up exciting possibilities for engaging with the games in the virtual realm.
