Iranian consul-general in Shanghai visits Hangzhou

Ali Mohammadi, consul-general of Iran in Shanghai, paid a visit to the Hangzhou municipal foreign affairs office with his delegation on Aug 2, local media outlets reported.
Jin Heng, an official from the Hangzhou foreign affairs office, welcomed the delegation. He took the opportunity to introduce Hangzhou's development, culture and history, and its preparations for the upcoming Asian Games.
Jin expressed his hope that through joint efforts, both parties can explore the potential for cooperation. He emphasized seeking collaboration as sister cities and in industrial economics, cultural exchange, and education.
Consul-general Mohammadi, who was in Hangzhou for the third time, said he was impressed by the significant transformations the city has undergone. He conveyed his hope for the success of the Asian Games, believing it will be a remarkable event.
Mohammadi also took the opportunity to introduce notable cities in Iran and expressed his eagerness to foster strong relations with Hangzhou.
Both sides expressed their commitment to establishing smooth channels of communication and effective mechanisms for cooperation.
