The 19th Asian Games Technical Delegate Conference, a key part of preparations for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, was held on July 26, marking the completion of the core preparations for the international sporting gathering.

Approximately 200 representatives from Olympic Council of Asia and various Asian (international) sports associations as well as technical representatives and competition directors for the Hangzhou Asian Games attended the conference.

During the meeting, officials from the Organizing Committee of the Hangzhou Asian Games provided detailed information on the preparations for the competition, addressing the concerns of technical officials regarding catering, accommodation, transportation, logistics, security, registration and other service support policies during the event, and answered relevant questions from the participants.

Asian Games Technical Delegates are experts appointed by Asian (international) single-sport organizations authorized by OCA. They are responsible for ensuring that the organization of the Hangzhou Asian Games adheres to the requirements and standards set by OCA and Asian (international) single-sport organizations. TDs play a crucial role in the preparation of the Asian Games.

The Technical Delegate Conference is a customary practice for intercontinental comprehensive sports events such as the Asian Games. It aims to help technical officials gain a comprehensive understanding of the preparations for the Asian Games, the policies regarding service support for technical officials, and to ensure the smooth execution of technical work during the competition.

The organizing committee also arranged one-on-one meetings between project technical representatives and the operational teams of various competition venues.
