An art exhibition called "Meet Dunhuang" opened in Binjiang district, Hangzhou on July 8, local media outlets reported.
This exhibition, centered around Dunhuang cultural art, explores the integration of modern technology and outstanding traditional culture.
By utilizing 3D light sculpture digital technology and ultra-high-definition digital devices, over 200 reproductions of Dunhuang grotto murals, meticulously redrawn by artists, are presented in a completely new light.
The aim is to "bring cultural relics to life," allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the artistic charm of the Dunhuang grottoes and gain insight into the legendary stories of the Silk Road.
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for visitors to engage with Dunhuang's rich cultural heritage in a contemporary and interactive manner. It encourages a dialogue between tradition and modernity, showcasing how technology can amplify people’s appreciation and understanding of ancient art forms.
The show will run until Nov 8.
