The Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run Series came to Macao Special Administrative Region, with approximately 700 Macao students, young people, and athletes who are set to take part in the Games participating in the event held on June 11 in front of the Macau Science Museum Square, local media reported.

The fun run covered a distance of approximately 2 kilometers. The starting point was located in front of the Macau Science Museum, and participants ran along Sun Yat-sen Avenue, appreciating the seaside scenery and welcoming the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games.

The "Fun Run" event is an Asian Games tradition. It is an essential international public participation activity of the Hangzhou Asian Games to better promote the Olympic spirit.

The fun run in Macao was sponsored by the Olympic Council of Asia and organized by the Macau Olympic Committee, receiving a warm response from local media and the public. Participants were given a commemorative t-shirt, and those who finished the race were also given a certificate and a commemorative medal.

The Macau Olympic Committee expressed hope that by organizing the event, Macao's youth and residents could share the excitement of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

It is reported that the Macau Olympic Committee will send more than 180 athletes to participate in the 21 competition events of the Hangzhou Asian Games.
