The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 will be held from Sept 23 to Oct 8.

Yiwu, the world's largest wholesale market for small commodities in east China's Zhejiang Province, has seen hot sales of sports products. At the Yiwu International Trade Market, the number of foreign businessmen who came to purchase related products has increased rapidly.

Sijan Baniya, a purchaser from Nepal, told CNS reporters that the popularity of various sports events has been high recently, so the demand for medals has increased significantly. "I came to Yiwu a week ago, and have already ordered 15,000 pieces of medals," he said.

Chen Xianchun, a retailer at the Yiwu International Trade Market said the order has been scheduled for June. "If some foreign factories submit orders now, it will take three months to deliver the good," she said.

"At present, the sales of football products are better in some national teams, as well as some regular types of football," said Lu Qing, a retailer at the Yiwu International Trade Market, "As the Asian Games is approaching, the order volume this year was much more than in previous years. I used to received 70 to 80 pieces of order at a time, but now it has increased to 200 pieces."

Sports product exports in Yiwu reached 2.13 billion yuan ($0.3 billion) from January to April, up 8.4% growth year-on-year, according to Yiwu Customs.
