The "Exciting Hangzhou" 2023 National Women's Water Polo Championship is currently being held at the Huanglong Sports Center Swimming and Diving Hall in Zhejiang province, local media outlets reported.

Apart from the intense matches that are leaving audiences in awe, the lively atmosphere, event support, and services received high praise from spectators, who expressed their delight in experiencing an Asian-Games-like event right at their doorstep.

To create an immersive arena atmosphere, the venue prepared cheering props for the audience, including clappers with QR codes. Scanning the code allowed spectators to access an electronic version of the water polo match pamphlet, which covered water polo information, transportation options, and match schedules.

Interactive displays on large screens heightened the excitement throughout the venue. Audiences followed the rhythm of the music, raised their clappers high, and interacted with the cameras.

What's more, as spectators entered the venue through the entrance gates, they were greeted by information service booths that provided spectator guides, water stations, and emergency support.

"From ticket inspection and security checks to finding my seat, everything was clearly marked. Volunteers and staff were also available to help locate seats. I didn't take any wrong turns, and within five or six minutes, I was comfortably seated," said a woman surnamed Zhang.

A total of 150 volunteers contributed their services to the event, covering 16 areas including audience assistance, ticketing, hospitality, and comprehensive event support.

Zhu Yuxin, a junior student at Zhejiang University of Technology, was responsible for technical officer services.

"As one of the first volunteers to be on duty during the event, I am in charge of coordinating with referees and providing guidance. I will fulfill my role with great enthusiasm and a professional attitude to ensure excellent event support."

The championship not only showcased the fierce competition but also highlighted Hangzhou's commitment to providing exceptional event services and experiences for both athletes and spectators alike.
