A series of Xiangfu Flower Fairies Festival celebrations were held at the Asian Games Grand Canal Park in Hangzhou on April 7, showcasing ancient customs and traditions to mark the arrival of spring.
The event featured a variety of performances including traditional dances, rituals, and parades. People dressed up as flower gods, flower emperors, and flower fairies took part in the festivities.
The aim was to recreate the atmosphere of the ancient Xiangfu Flower Festival, which was a grand occasion during the Song Dynasty.
During the festival, people participated in a range of traditional activities such as flower arrangements, tea ceremonies, and calligraphy. The festival's organizers also introduced new elements, such as a cosplay competition and a flower-themed carnival.
The Xiangfu Flower Fairies Festival was a grand cultural event in Hangzhou during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It not only represents the city's unique cultural heritage but also promotes its tourism industry.
Through the event, the organizers hoped to promote the beauty and charm of Hangzhou's culture to the world. They also aimed to encourage people to pass down traditional cultural values to future generations.
