Elements of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 have become a highlight of the 18th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival being held in Hangzhou from Nov 24 to 27.
In addition to having the Asian Games included as part of this year's promotional video, the festival has set up a specific booth for the international sporting event. It not only is one of 10 stamp collection sites for visitors, but is also enriched with cultural elements of the Games, such as the three mascots Lianlian, Chenchen and Congcong, who are based on Hangzhou's World Heritage sites – West Lake, the Grand Canal, and the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City.
The mascots will also feature at the cultural festival's float parade in Gongshu district a day later, where they will appear alongside with mascots of the former Asian Games.
Moreover, the fashion show China National-style Super Gala and dubbing competition Character Voice will be held at the "Small Lotus", nickname of the Games' tennis venue.
