The 18th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival opened in Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Nov 24 and will run until Nov 27.

The festival will feature 24 activities, including exhibitions, forums, match-making meetings, and competitions.

The highlights of the event include fashion shows of traditional Chinese clothing, the participation of ANIPLEX, TV TOKYO, and Walt Disney, and anime products related to the upcoming Asian Games Hangzhou.

At the opening ceremony, local authorities released a report containing suggestions regarding the development of Hangzhou's cartoon, animation, and esports industries. They also proposed that the combined annual revenue of the three sectors should amount to 60 billion yuan ($8.39 billion) in 2025.
