The 2022 Hangzhou Marathon opened on Nov 20 after a long hiatus.
Competitors in the 42.195-kilometer test of endurance started at the Huanglong Sports Center and made their way along West Lake and the Grand Canal before finishing at the Olympic Sports Center Stadium, the main venue of the upcoming 19th Asian Games.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Hangzhou Marathon, which saw 35,000 runners set off at 7:30 am.
As the event was not staged due to the epidemic last year, this year's edition saw the participation of many pros from across the country.
The event is a precursor to the Asian Games to be held next September.
