The tidal creeks created by the tides of the Qiantang River in Hangzhou and Haining in East China's Zhejiang province recently went viral online and were nicknamed "Trees of the Earth" by netizens.

Due to the special topography of mud flats in Hangzhou and Haining, the nearby seawall forms a sedimentary landform year-round, which is submerged when the tide is high, and the shallow beach is exposed after the ebb tide.
