The Hangzhou agriculture and rural affairs bureau recently announced that from Sept 14 to 30, it will issue coupons worth a total of 10 million yuan ($1.44 million) to local residents, local media outlets reported.

Over 4,000 local agricultural products presented by some 500 local companies, such as hickories harvested on mountains in Lin'an district and stewed ducks seasoned by rural families in Yuhang district, will be available.

The coupons, which will be issued in six rounds, will offer 15-yuan ($2.16), 20-yuan and 40-yuan discounts when the bill surpasses 30 yuan, 50 yuan and 100 yuan, respectively.

The first round lasts from Sept 14 to 16, the second round from Sept 17 to 19, the third round from Sept 20 to 22, the fourth round from Sept 23 to 25, the fifth round from Sept 26 to 28, and the last round from Sept 29 to 30.

The coupons are only valid within their dates of issuance and will expire afterwards.

People can shop via the mobile apps "Wang Shang Nong Bo" (Chinese: 網(wǎng)上農(nóng)博) and Union Pay, or via the WeChat mini-program "Wang Shang Nong Bo".
