Lawns near Asian Games Village take on festive look
A huge lawn cut by seedling plantings near the Asian Games Village in Qianjiang Century City, Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, features the characters for "19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022". The words express the enthusiasm of people across China for the Games, the second largest international sporting event, which will be held in Hangzhou from Sept 23 to Oct 8, 2023. Another lawn features the characters "Hangzhou" and its city logo. The Hangzhou Asian Games Village, which was completed in December last year, is the largest non-competition venue for the Games. It features a variety of plants and environmentally-friendly buildings and aims to provide athletes, technical officials and media reporters a convenient and cozy living and working environment.
