The Hangzhou municipal government recently reported on the government's key work arrangements for the second half of 2022, local media outlets reported.

To help enterprises overcome difficulties brought about by the COVID-19 resurgence, Hangzhou will exempt them from more than 100 billion yuan ($14.69 billion) in taxes this year and continue to implement preferential policies to stabilize foreign trade and investments.

With the goal of developing a world-leading modern industrial system, Hangzhou will give priority to the high-quality and integrated progress of five industrial incubators, including the Hangzhou West Science and Innovation Corridor, and roll out holistic plans for over 10 industrial chains including biopharmaceuticals, new materials, and intelligent equipment.

The city will continue to play to its strengths in digital governance so as to develop more competitiveness in application scenarios such as smart transport, smart housing, and future communities.

By speeding up improvement in its business environment, Hangzhou will strive to reform 101 public services and the sharing of 150 pieces of government data.

As a city that puts its people first, Hangzhou will try its best to serve the public by hosting over 200 job fairs with at least 250,000 offers, establishing 10 emergency sites with 50 ambulances, improving the long-term care insurance system, and providing more affordable housing to the public.

Hangzhou will also complete the construction of 500 kilometers of city expressways in the second half of the year so as to strengthen its role as a transportation hub in the Yangtze River Delta region.
