A 24-hour museum developed by the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History opened to the public on June 9, making it the first State-owned museum of its kind, local media outlets reported.
During its two-month trial period, the museum will open at 10:30 am and close at 12 pm from Mondays to Fridays and be open 24 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
The museum, which covers a total area of 300 square meters with a street frontage, mainly focuses on the exhibition of 300 specimens of animals, plants and minerals commonly seen in Zhejiang.
The museum also features a theater themed on the metaverse-a virtual reality space that allows users to interact with a computer-generated environment.
