Amazing Night in Hangzhou, a cultural and tourism festival integrating exhibitions, consumption and experience activities, kicked off at the West Lake scenic spot on June 15, local media outlets reported.

From 3 to 9 pm until June 19, visitors can experience the culture of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) at King Qian's Temple, Yongjin Park, and West Lake Museum.

As Hangzhou, the then capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, still preserves traditions from that time, a wide range of intangible cultural heritage items are being showcased at the festival, such as paper-making, bamboo carving, ceramics, graphic design, poems, lyrics, Chinese painting, calligraphy, and architecture.

The event was sponsored by the Hangzhou municipal publicity department and organized by the Hangzhou culture, radio, film and tourism bureau, West Lake and Xixi Wetland management committee, Hangzhou bureau of landscape and cultural heritage, and Hangzhou Daily Press Group.

The 2022 Hangzhou culture and tourism consumption season will last from June to November, and more than 300 cultural and tourism consumption activities and products will be promoted. Coupons will also be issued to help stimulate consumption.
