The newly-upgraded West Wensan Road in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has recently become a popular topic of discussion among local residents, City Link reported.
The 6.2-kilometer-long road, which stretches from Zijingang Road in the west to Moganshan Road in the east, has been installed with intelligent crosswalks, bus stops, and street lights.
Ground lights that turn green and red in sync with the traffic lights were installed on both ends of the crosswalks, and voice signals were added as well.
Bus stops along the road were also renovated. Passengers can now check the speed, real-time location, and occupancy rate of the next bus. They can also watch weather broadcasts and news displayed on the new electronic screens. Wi-Fi is available at the bus stops as well.
Moreover, 130 smart multifunctional streetlights are to be installed on the roadside. They will automatically control the street lights, emergency calls, video monitoring, LED display, air quality assessment, and Wi-Fi service.
