The Children's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (Hubin branch) started providing 24-hour surgery and emergency treatment services on March 1.

The 24-hour emergency department can provide medical services for children who suffer from injuries due to accidents, illnesses resulting from congenital deformity as well as infectious and acute illnesses, said Zhao Guoqiang, deputy director of the traumatology department of the hospital.

According to Fu Junfen, the executive deputy president of the Hubin branch, the hospital has 134 medical experts and is supported by its Binjiang branch and other affiliated hospitals of the Zhejiang University School of Medicine.

The Children's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine is the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospital in Zhejiang province. Founded in 1951, its predecessor was Zhejiang Provincial Maternal and Children's Hospital, which was founded by Professor Li Yuhua, a famous pediatrician.
