Located in downtown Hangzhou, the Huanglong Sports Center recently completed its two-year upgrading and was opened to the public on Feb 16.

The center will host the soccer, gymnastics (competitive gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline) and water polo competitions for the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 and the track and field competitions for the Para Games.

Large LED screens have been installed in the stadium to enhance the viewing experience for spectators. The renovated stadium also features a one-kilometer intelligent skywalk that can provide fitness analysis services.

The Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee received a first prize award at the final of the 2021 Global Internet Competition of "Straight to Wuzhen" for its 5G-driven smart sports venues in 2021.

The organizing committee's entry epitomizes an "intelligent" Hangzhou Asian Games.

Huanglong Sports Center, Fuyang Water Sports Center, and China Hangzhou Esports Center have been upgraded into smart sports venue with more efficient operation and management, as well as smart monitoring.
