The first version of stadium operation plans for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games were recently approved and will be tested during the upcoming "Hangzhoufeel" sports tournaments, local media outlets reported on Feb 10.

The plans detail where the athletes should enter the stadium, where they do their warm-ups, how they get back to the locker rooms, what services the audiences have access to, and how to deal with emergencies.

Compared with the Olympics, the Asian Games include more events and has more stadiums, and therefore require more planning, said Liu Jian, director of the project design department of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.

Liu noted that the plans will act as guidelines for Hangzhou to host big games in the future as the city relatively lacks experience and professionals in hosting big events compared with Beijing and Guangzhou.
