Workers at Qiandaohu Peisheng Boat Co Ltd in Hangzhou are busy manufacturing ships and boats for the 2022 FISU World University Rowing Championship and the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, local media reported on Feb 10.

The company has been so busy building speed boats for these international events that the work on orders from other clients can only begin after July.

Qiandaohu Peisheng Boat Co Ltd, which is located near Qiandao Lake, can develop different types of ships and boats. Its products have been sold to more than 30 countries and regions in North America, Europe and Asia.

The company is now working together with Tsinghua University, Tongji University and Shanghai FRP Research Institute to optimize design techniques, and conduct research in fluid mechanics and body mechanics, said Zhu Peiwen, an executive at the company.

Zhu added that his company has forged long-term cooperative relations with German, Norwegian and French experts in carbon fiber prepreg. The company currently employs over 10 foreign experts.

Last year, the company registered more than 100 million yuan ($15.73 million) in sales revenue, up 20 percent year-on-year.
