The Games is not just about the continent's top athletes and world-class competition. The musical soundtrack to the Games is expected to be world-class too.

On June 23, 2020, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee initiated a campaign to solicit musical works, calling on people from around the world to compose music for the sports event.

The committee had on March 12, 2021 unveiled 30 extraordinary works that were selected from 2,102 entries. More than 120,000 people have been voting online for their favorite songs online since Nov 2021.

The official Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Song will be released in April, according to the organizing committee.
