Organizers of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 unveiled the torch image for the major sporting event on Sept 10, 2021, which marked the one-year countdown to the opening of the sporting gala.

Named "Eternal Flame", the torch features a design inspired by the Liangzhu Culture and is shaped such that it "grows" from the bottom to the top. The torch has a height of 730 millimeters and weighs 1.2 kilograms.

The 20,000 limited edition 3D digital torches that were released on Sept 14, 2021 were sold out in 20 seconds. As the first digital souvenir licensed by the Asian Games, the torches were digitally mapped to the blockchain to ensure their authenticity and traceability. Cutting-edge technologies and 3D rendering were also applied to enhance the value of the digital torch.

Members of the public can also go on virtual tours of cities that formerly hosted the Asian Games through a mini-program developed by the Hangzhou Asian Games organizing committee. The program can be accessed via Alipay.
