Since Hangzhou’s successful bid for the 19th Asian Games on Sept 16, 2015, the city has been focusing on the principles of "green, smart, economical, and ethical" and promoting its preparation work in an orderly manner.

With anticipation for the Asian Games continuing to heat up in Hangzhou, the city arranged a series of grand celebrations at the beginning of last autumn, marking the beginning of the one-year countdown to the major sporting event.
