Chenchen, the name of a mascot for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, was inspired by Gongchen Bridge, an iconic part of the Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal that has been standing for hundreds of years.

Mostly blue in color, Chenchen aims to bring out a feeling of cutting-edge technology while echoing the cultural elements of the Gongchen Bridge, a landmark that represents the southernmost end of the Grand Canal.

In this episode, we will visit the Gongchen Bridge and discover its connection with the upcoming Asian Games. We will also visit several sports venues located along the Grand Canal to explore how the ancient canal has made the event more meaningful.
